Next, Your RENAULT / SMART Device Your RENAULT device is equipped with DIP switches numbered 1 to 10, where you can define the device’s functionality, and an LED that can light up green and red.
Then, the RENAULT / SMART Device Features: Key/Card Programming – 1, 2, 3, or 4 keys/cards. If all keys are lost, you must first program 1 key, then program all the remaining keys.
RENAULT / SMART Device Application This device is intended for locksmith shops, auto repair shops, auto repair shops, etc. The device can help in all cases when it is necessary to add blank keys/cards to a Renault vehicle.
Finally, it works via OBDII and does not require the vehicle’s PIN code or a PC. The learning procedure takes from 30 seconds to 5 minutes (depending on the car and whether all keys are lost or not). You have the option to learn keys/cards when the car owner has lost all keys.
USING THE RENAULT / SMART DEVICE
Renault Twingo 3, Renault Trafic 3, Smart 453 vehicles:
- First, turn on the ignition with the key blade (without the transponder) and insert the transponder into the device’s antenna.
- Place the device in the vehicle’s OBDII port, and the LED will glow solid green.
- Next, when the device flashes red once, remove the key blade and insert the transponder from the antenna into the key. As soon as the key blade is removed from the ignition, the LED will turn solid red. At this point, turn on the ignition with the complete key (blade and transponder).
- After 3-4 seconds, the device will begin flashing green, indicating that the procedure is complete and the key is programmed.
- Then remove the device, turn off the ignition once, and the car will be ready to start, and the remote control will be programmed (if present). Smart 450 and 452 vehicles:
- First, turn on the ignition with the key and place the device’s antenna on top of the key.
- Place the device in the vehicle’s OBDII port, and the LED will glow solid green.
- Then, as soon as the blade is removed from the ignition, the LED will glow solid red. At this point, turn off the ignition and then turn it back on with the key.
- After 3-4 seconds, the device will start flashing green, indicating that the procedure is complete and the key is programmed.
- Then remove the device, turn off the ignition once, and the car will be ready to start, and the remote control will be programmed.
